Job Description:
As part of the larger marketing and communications team, the marketing manager will help develop creative and engaging marketing campaigns for a range of audiences. Working with our creative services team, the marketing manager will be charged with implementing and managing the development and production of selected marketing and communication materials for the college, while also developing targeted digital marketing campaigns across a range of platforms.
Requirements:
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field
Professional Experience:
Required: At least three - five years of marketing experience
Experience managing multiple projects, with a range of deadlines
Preferred:
Experience with digital marketing campaigns and AdWords
Experience with direct mail and print production process
Additional Information:
Essential Job Functions
- Assists with planning and development of marketing campaigns, including capital campaigns and other fundraising initiatives
- Write and edit brochures, newsletters, emails, posters, web content, and other print and digital needs
- Works with Office of Communications to develop and launch digital marketing campaigns for the college, including assets for the website, retargeting platforms, AdWords, email content, and more
- Collaborates with colleagues in Advancement, and other departments across the college, to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including, alumnae/i, students, and external audiences
- Contributes to brand message development to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
- Helps with video scripting and creative concepts for marketing videos
- Helps with targeted event and program promotion
- Tracks performance metrics and analytics to identify trends and opportunities
- Provides competitive intelligence and assists in market research for ongoing evaluation of programs
- Assists with other projects, as assigned
Computer Skills: (1) Microsoft Office on both Mac and PC, CMS/web-editing software programs, blog platforms (WordPress); (2) social media platforms, Hootsuite; (3) mass email distribution systems (MailChimp); (4) comfortable with learning college-specific database skills (CRM/Slate), HTML and design skills preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator); (5) comfortable with photo and video editing (Premiere, YouTube editor)
Other Skills, Abilities, Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Attention to detail; ability to work under time pressure; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with frequent interruptions; diplomacy; discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
