The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Office of Admissions Services is seeking an Admissions Recruitment Officer. This position is a full-time, hybrid position.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Increase marketing and recruitment efforts for degree programs, especially online programs
- Develop key audience outreach plan and work with director and associate director of recruitment on implementation
- Recruit prospective students, nurture inquiries to result in applications, and assist them throughout the application process
- Have one-on-one meetings (via phone or Zoom) with prospective students to discuss academic programs and the application process
- Attend in-person meetings, recruitment fairs, and conferences to recruit prospective students
- Coordinate virtual information sessions
- Regularly receive and answer communications from inquiries and applicants
- Interact with internal and external partners (e.g. employers and national organizations.) to support and expand recruitment relationships and opportunities
Communications:
- Work with director and communications associate on key content pieces such as email campaigns
- Have working relationship with marketing specialist and School's social media team for online program advertisements and social media outreach
- Create content along with online programs to highlight accomplishments, opportunities, and degree program details
Reporting:
- Prepare quarterly updates on recruitment progress focused on online program inquiries
- Communicate directly with online programs about inquiry development and outlook
- Conduct event and visit ROI analysis
Other Duties:
- During peak admissions season, assist with administrative support for application processing
- Assist with on-campus admissions events as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 1 year related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.*
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary.
* JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits (semester hours) may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
** Applicants who do not meet the posted requirements but are completing their final academic semester/quarter will be considered eligible for employment and may be asked to provide additional information confirming their academic completion date.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
