CIHEB Communication Specialist (Media and Public Relations Specialist) - (220000MN) The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Institute of Human Virology (IHV), Center for International Health, Education and Biosecurity (CIHEB) is seeking a full-time communications specialist (CS) to join our international public health team in Baltimore. Successful applicants will possess excellent written and visual communications skills, demonstrate careful attention to detail, and possess an aptitude for learning new technical material. We seek a multitalented individual who is able to digest complex material on public health topics and create compelling communications products. Tasks are performed in support of CIHEB's global mission and to promote CIHEB's international project activities. The CS will work under the supervision of the communications director in Baltimore, Maryland. About CIHEB: The Center for International Health, Education and Biosecurity (CIHEB) is part of the Institute of Human Virology and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. CIHEB is comprised of a global team of more than 700 personnel in eight countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. CIHEB helps provide care and treatment to hundreds of thousands of HIV patients, trains and educates health workers, builds human capital in the area of new business development and communications, conducts evaluation studies, and implements evidence-based interventions and research studies in Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Zambia.
