The Vice President will be the institution's chief marketing officer and will partner with the President and senior leaders to provide comprehensive, strategic, and operational leadership across the College and ensure that all branding, marketing, and communications plans and activities support institutional goals. Working to increase the College's brand recognition nationally, the Vice President will elevate its reputation as a premier liberal arts institution.

The new Vice President will join the College during an exciting time of transformation in higher education in general and at Goucher specifically. In line with the College's recently completed strategic plan, Goucher is launching innovative new programs, forging creative new partnerships, and modernizing administrative systems and processes collegewide. Motivated by Goucher's recognition as one of the "Most Innovative Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report, this executive will be energized to explore untapped and entrepreneurial opportunities to advance the mission of the institution and to grow its community broadly.

Job Requirements:

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented marketing leader to support a mission-driven institution in realizing its strategic vision, amplifying its national and global presence, and strengthening its partnerships on campus and beyond. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success in similarly broad and complex roles, with excellent relationship-building capabilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated record of supporting and driving initiatives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition, the Vice President will possess good business judgment and sound decision-making abilities, along with an analytical mindset and the capacity to adapt to priorities as they evolve.
