The Office of Summer and Intersession Programs (OSIP), a division of the Advanced Academic Programs in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, offers rigorous credit and non-credit courses and programs in the summer and intersession terms. Each year, OSIP enrolls over 1,500 JHU undergraduates, visiting undergraduates, and pre-college students. We are seeking a Program Administrator for Operations who will be responsible for the smooth delivery and execution of Summer at Hopkins Pre-College programs.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment & On-Boarding (35%)
- Guide and support students and families through the enrollment and onboarding process for pre-college programs.
- Collaborate with the Central marketing team to produce recruitment and onboarding communications.
- Provide operations support for in-person and virtual information sessions and orientation.
- Monitor 1-2 student team members who support email and phone communication with students and families.
- Assist with anti-melt measures from post-admit to the start of coursework.
Academic & Residential Operations (30%)
- Coordinate all student travel logistics, including assisting with negotiating agreements with vendors and monitoring service delivery.
- Ensure that adequate supplies and resources are ordered and available for academic and co-curricular programming.
- Submit and manage all student housing changes to JHU's Scheduling & Events Services and residential partners.
- Collaborate with relevant campus partner offices to ensure the smooth delivery of services, including JCards, Campus Libraries, Campus Recreation, etc.
- Coordinate with Student Health, Student Disabilities Services, and other relevant partners to support academic, campus, and dietary accommodations.
Student Engagement (30%)
- Assist with building and maintaining a sense of community among students, both virtually and on campus, from post-admission through the end of the summer.
- Assist with designing and implementing online student activities and clubs for students in online summer pre-college programs.
- Assist the Pre-College Director in monitoring and enforcing university policies and procedures when escalated.
Other Duties (5%)
- Assist with monitoring and responding to Summer@Hopkins general email boxes and phone calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Two years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Three to five years related experience.
- Previous experience in higher education.
- Previous operations experience with summer programs.
- Previous experience working with middle- and high-school-aged students.

- Ability to manage a high volume of work and multiple priorities.
- Problem-solver, proactive in addressing challenges, escalates issues appropriately.

Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:
- Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Machines and/or Equipment Used:
- Use of computer 90% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs; must stand for extended periods of time during in-person workshops.
- Dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse pad, and other office machinery.
- The incumbent will be required to communicate regularly via telephone and face to face with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate and timely information in these settings.
- The position also requires a degree of mobility common to working in an office environment; bending, kneeling, or standing during events and presentations may be required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Two casual/seasonal student employees.

Starting Salary Range: $43,970 - $60,390 annually (commensurate with experience)
Employee group: Full Time
Schedule: M-F,8:30am to 5pm; Occasional evenings during fall & spring; Periodic wknd/evening during summer
