We are seeking a Multimedia Producer II who is responsible for creating impactful, creative stills, videos and motion graphics that effectively communicate the Carey Business School brand. With guidance from the Accounts Manager, and in close collaboration with Multimedia Producer I, this individual conceptualizes and creates a variety of video in the appropriate style to meet the strategic and tactical goals of each design project/marketing communications initiative.
The Multimedia Producer II will work with Marketing Managers and the Creative team to ideate and produce video and motion graphic assets for all channels. They will conceive, plan, script and produce videos in promotion of core school courses and curriculum, sizzle-reels for promoting the overall school brand, alumni, and faculty profiles, event coverage videos, and others as needed. In addition to producing videos for Carey Business School's YouTube channel and video library, the Multimedia Producer II will also create video and motion graphics to use in advertising on social media and various digital channels.
The Multimedia Producer II is also responsible for building and maintaining essential photo collections and overarching WebDam portal, as well as video archives. Together with the Multimedia Producer I position, they will manage curating and adding new assets to photography and video libraries. The Multimedia Producer II will also serve as liaison for student photography volunteers to capture additional assets, and as the point person to manage files from external video and photography vendors.
This position interacts with students, faculty, and staff regularly, and must be able to work on several high priority projects concurrently with minimal supervision. Motion graphics experience, attention to detail, and a passion for staying current with industry trends and skills are essential. Must live in the Baltimore area as on-site duties are required.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Primary focus of this role is to plan and execute video and motion graphic productions from start to completion. Production needs include the ability to research independently and create video and animation assets that can be leveraged across advertising, event support, web and other promotional content.
- Oversee conception, planning and production of video projects with constituents and vendors when outside support is required.
- Close collaboration with Social Media Associate to produce video for social channels.
- Collaborate with Multimedia Producer II to manage multimedia asset library.
- Mentorship and partnership to Multimedia and Creative colleagues to foster skill sharing across the team.
- Foster and maintain vendor and talent relationships, as well as relationships across the Johns Hopkins ecosystem.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to track delivery, launch dates, and recording sessions.
- Proficient in leading shoots, including directing talent, team members, and vendors during production setup.
- Provide art direction on photoshoots.
- Responsible for developing and managing timelines for production and keeping projects on track.
- Set and track project budgets per project.
- Independently manage in-house equipment inventory to stay current for school needs and industry standards. Reserve and rent equipment when needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- 5 years of experience filming, directing and editing creative, compelling video and photography content.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in video, digital media or related field preferred.
- 6+ years of experience preferred.
- Experience utilizing video production equipment (cameras, lights, audio equipment)
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Significant experience in motion graphics required
- Extensive experience with editing software needed (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop); Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- DSLR video and mic experience needed
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Motion graphics
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Understanding of marketing strategy required
- Understanding of digital archiving, meta tagging necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office necessary
- Knowledge of AP Style and ability to learn and uphold school style guide in video scripts and supporting descriptions copy
- Must maintain a professional working relationship with faculty, students and staff
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and maneuver video equipment (less than 50 lbs) on site for location shoots as needed.

Starting Salary Range: $51,210 - $70,480 annually (commensurate with experience)
