The Coordinator of Student Leadership is part of the Office of Student Activities team charged with developing programs and services designed to facilitate student involvement and enhance the overall student experience through campus programs and activities. The Coordinator of Student Leadership is responsible for leadership initiatives and student honor societies, while supporting the overall leadership vision of The Office of Student Activities. The coordinator will supervise a graduate student and undergraduate student staff related to the student leadership/development efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the two-tier Tigers Lead comprehensive leadership certificate program.
Work with the coordinator of student organizations to connect the leadership training within the Tiger Stripes student organization assessment program.
Work with the coordinator of student organizations to develop officer trainings for student organizations.
Provide opportunities for individual leadership consultation with students. Responsible for implementing assessments and evaluations of student leadership programming.

Administration and Support:

Responsible for the management of the Lead@TU emails and social media platforms.
Assist the Assistant Director of Leadership with large scale university leadership initiatives which include, but not limited to: Clifton Strengths, LeaderShape, Women in Leadership Conference, Social Justice Retreat, Leadership Lunch Series, Black Student Leadership Conference, grant / donations funded leadership development programs, Student Affairs Leadership awards and invited guest speakers
Assist in marketing efforts for the Office of Student Activities. Assist in administrative duties such as grade point average checks, student training tracking and distribution/collection of important forms.

Supervision and Advisement:

Responsible for all aspects supervising graduate assistant(s) which includes the hiring process in coordination with the Graduate Student office.
Responsible for hiring and supervising student leadership consultants. Advising leadership based honorary societies such as National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).

Internal and External Relations:

Develop and maintain collaborative and reciprocal relationships with leadership associations, the Baltimore College Town Network and essential campus partners.
Serve on various university committees.
Conduct leadership trainings for staff/faculty and community members.
Other duties assigned by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Assistant Vice President of Campus Life, Director of Student Activities or the Assistant Director of Leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work with an ethnically diverse and culturally pluralistic student population and campus community.
Knowledge of leadership development theories.
Ability to oversee projects and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skill.
