The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences has an exciting opportunity for Senior Program Specialist to support the department efforts relating to the faculty appointments, promotion and tenure (APT). This position will be responsible for full administrative coordination of these efforts working directly with Department Chair, Sr. Administrator and other related staff within the department and the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

* Responsible for all aspects of the APT Program, including day-to-day operations, program management and compliance. * Maintain complex daily calendar of Department Chair ensuring schedules and meetings are properly prioritized throughout the day given the changing business requirements. * In collaboration with department leadership, plan, develop, administer and coordinate new or revised goals and objectives for program. Ensure that goals, objectives, and deliverables specified are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time and funding limitations, or other specifications. * Provide advanced administrative support to the Department Chair. * Lead development and content of speeches, presentations, articles and other forms of content dissemination. Contribute substantially in the development and implementation of communication and dissemination strategies, including providing oversight to social marketing strategy, and maintaining content on website. * Perform specialized administrative functions, program coordination and monitoring, data collection, database creation, surveys, reports, and recommends program changes. * Perform advanced administrative tasks, such as preparing, responding to and prioritizing correspondence, reports and memos, responding to and screening telephone calls. Requires working knowledge of institution policies, practices and procedures. * Monitor and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with work plan and deliverables. * Organize and facilitate meetings, or conferences, coordinate logistics, scheduling, communications, and participation. * Coordinate program activities through delegation of assignments to staff. May supervise and mentor other support staff. * Manage VISA requirements for all current and future international scholars coming to the University on behalf of the Department. * Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: Three years administrative or program coordination experience.
Other: Related experience to program may be substituted for education.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Ability to prepare financial statements and budgets. * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. * Excellent organization skills. * High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
