Associate Director for Graduate Programs - (190001H1)
University of Maryland, Baltimore is currently seeking an Associate Director for Graduate Programs within the Francis King Carey School of Law. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Admissions, the Associate Director for Graduate Programs is responsible for executing the law school's student recruitment and retention initiatives for the Master of Laws (LLM) and Master of Science in Law (MSL) Programs. The Associate Director supports all aspects of the admissions function including assisting with the application review process and scholarship award process. The Associate Director works closely with the admissions team, with the goal of enrolling an incoming class of desired quality and other characteristics. This position requires regional and international travel, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, ability to use sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in a professional setting, and the ability to use data to support decision making related to outreach efforts.

Develop and manage student recruitment and marketing initiatives for the LLM and MSL programs.
Review and evaluate application files and conduct admission interviews for the LL.M. and MSL programs.
Provide counseling to prospective students and applicants regarding all aspects of the application process for the LL.M. and MSL programs.
Represent the Maryland Carey School of Law at international, and national recruitment events for the JD, LLM and MSL programs.
Plan and implement information sessions, webinars and other admissions-related events on-campus and off-campus.
Plan and execute business-to-business pipeline initiatives with regional corporations and professional organizations.
Develop and implement online outreach initiatives, including chat sessions, webcasts, webinars, and social media postings.
Provide counseling to exchange students, and international visitors.
Track and analyze data and generate regular operational and statistical reports for the LLM and MSL programs.
Assist in the development of recruiting materials, brochures, and mass e-mail communications.
Conduct research and analyze potential markets as needed.
Monitor the Admissions Webpage on a monthly basis for needed updates.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required; JD or LLM preferred
5 years of experience in Admissions, student enrollment or a related field. Experience in a similar academic setting preferred.
Supervisory: Two (2) years of direct management/leadership
