The Global Process Technical Consultant (GPTC) works in close collaboration with sales, product business units, industry teams, project delivery organization, and Rockwell's Partner Network to provide technical support and solution insights for process solutions.
The GPTC provides technical application expertise on process automation solutions, system designs, project execution, and technical marketing support/promotion in order to meet the company's process business targets. The GPTC is also expected to effectively coordinate the combined technical resources of Rockwell Automation sales and product groups on behalf of the customer.
The GPTC utilizes his/her domain expertise and experience to talk with customers and identify their key requirements. Then, work with sales to best position Rockwell Automation technologies, solutions, and services to meet the customer's desired business outcomes.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing expertise and technical consulting to promote Rockwell Automation's Process automation business. Main activities are as follows:
Process control and application consulting.
Sales call support. Ability to guide customers through technology discussions and drive out requirements.
Review/Clarification of project requirements, application and system specifications, and system architecture.
Provide process technical assistance in developing competitive proposals.
Process solution & technology sharing and training for internal and external delivery teams.
Provide insights into competitive platform technical value propositions.
PRE-SALE PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
Support process customers with development of engineering standards, methods and guidelines related to the application of Rockwell Automation's process technologies.
Spearhead the exchange of best practices within the customer as well as provide feedback from application experience while safeguarding a customer's proprietary process information.
Manage customer product expectations and obtain product and systems requirements through direct customer interaction.
Represent the technical value propositions of our technology, solutions, and services by supporting sales presentations.
