The Job - What You Will Do
You will be an extension of the Facet family and the face of the Facet experience for all prospective clients. As a transition specialist, you are responsible for working with prospective clients as they transition from our partner firms into Facet by helping them understand who Facet is, how working with Facet can be a life-changing differentiator for their financial future and move them into the planning process with a Lead Planner. By working closely with the Head of Planning, you will understand their past planning needs to better assist them with a smooth transition to Facet’s offerings and service levels. You will be the first point of contact in conveying the planning pillars of the firm and why at Facet we are firm believers that human advisors are the key to true quality advice. You will work in an exciting and collaborative team environment with the sales development team, relationship managers and lead planners.

Specific Job Requirements:
Client Transition Concierge
Work directly with clients via videoconference, phone and e-mail.
You are the first point of contact for all prospective clients and critical to the health and growth of the company
Act as an initial contact for potential clients to help them identify their passions and to achieve their goals and objectives by explaining Facet’s planning process, expectations of both the lead planners, as well as buy-in and involvement of clients
Professionally and objectively help potential clients understand how custom financial plans can enhance quality of life and assist in laying the groundwork to reach life goals
Work with a lead planner [LP] to begin collecting, organizing and synthesizing client data within a financial planning context
Assist in translating your experience with potential clients to lead planners [LP] for smooth transition to planning process
Interacting with partner firms and independent advisors to assist in looking for future business potential
Cultivating relationships with stakeholders to be point of contact for questions and nuanced ways of bringing in new clients
Proactively providing suggestions for better efficiency and future improvement of the client onboarding process
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills
Client first attitude, professional demeanor, personal integrity and an understanding of fiduciary responsibility
Background and experience in the financial services industry; knowledge of key financial, investment and risk management concepts
CFP® certification is required for the Transition Specialist position. It is expected that you will have a desire to pursue additional industry and financial planning related continuing education. We want our team members to have a constant desire to improve personally and professionally!
Willingness to work independently with guidance and oversight from a team coach.
Excellent computer skills along with the ability to learn in-house software and tools – This is critical as we are not only a financial services company but also a tech startup!
