The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations serves as an integral part of the advancement team under the direction of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Coppin State University. The successful candidate will affect increased corporate and foundation support of the University.
Coordinate an annual operating plan that outlines objectives and metrics to accomplish fundraising goals.
Interfaces with the Advancement team to plan and execute development strategies to advance the University.
Maintains a portfolio of key corporate and foundation contacts to be targeted for support through grants, partnerships and sponsorships.
Develops high quality proposals, grant requests, appeals and other fundraising communications to corporations and foundations.
Work with deans, key faculty and staff to identify funding priorities and align those with grant opportunities that exist. Offers support in building the case for support and for submission of the proposals.
Assures timely and accurate reporting of gift/grant usage and articulates the impact to the granting corporation or foundation.
Works to identify new corporate and foundation prospects and grow the base of support from corporate and foundation entities.
Assists with other development projects as needed and directed by the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Serves as an exemplary advocate of the University in the community with, not only corporate and foundation partners, but also local leaders, alumni, businesses and other key constituents.
Coppin State University is a fully accredited institution and member of the University System of Maryland. Founded in 1900, Coppin is a model urban, residential liberal arts university located in the northwest section of the City of Baltimore that provides academic programs in the arts and sciences, teacher education, nursing, graduate studies, and continuing education. Coppin offers 33 Bachelor...’s and 11 Master’s degree programs and a Doctoral degree program in nursing with approximately 3000 students enrolled in day, evening, on-line, and weekend undergraduate and graduate courses. Coppin is a primarily commuter University with approximately 600 student residents.
